Restored Sheaffer Autograph Burgundy Touchdown 14k Band F Nib Fountain Pen. This pen has been completely taken apart, cleaned, polished, new gasket, and new latex talced sac has been installed. The pen is free from any cracks, breaks, engravings in the plastic parts, or warpage. There is two nicks on the cap right above the cap band and there is some light scratching from use that did not come out with polishing. This is a unique autograph model of the touchdown with 14kt gold cap band instead of a plated one. Usually the clips are 14k but this one is not gold and is just plated like a normal touchdown pen. The band is engraved with a name. The barrel stamp is present and is crisp with very little wear and looks great. Not mint but pretty good for a used pen. The nib is a 14k Sheaffers triumph nib in firm fine but is not a ex fine. There is no damage to the nib but there is a small piece of one of the feed fins that has chipped off. This does not affect writing but is present. The pen writes nicely. This is a later slimmer model of the touchdown and feels just like a Snorkel in the hands. A great pen you dont normally see and is a must have for any sheaffer collection. All pens have been tested prior to listing and are guaranteed to write upon arrival once inked up.
